I was just in a musical at my church. It's called "Sermon on the Mound." I was a cheerleader, and also a soloist! It was very fun. It was about a baseball game and it taught us about the spirit of God and how it works through us. Our team was called the Eagles and we were up against the people from Mudville. Come back later and maybe I'll have pictures!

On March 3, 2000, I went to an opera in Austin called "Aida." It was about an Egyptian princess who was captured by Princess Amneris. She fell in love with the captain of the army who was trying to defeat her father the king of Egypt. She couldn't decide if she should tell her father that the army was going to attack, or to keep the one she loved and not tell her father. It was very good, and it was also my first Opera! They sang it in Italian, so there was a bar of movie screen above the stage so you could see the words in English.

There's a picture me right before I go to Austin, in my scrapbook.

Also my scrapbook has pictures of me and my brother Trey. Do you ike them?

I just won an award for a poem I wrote, and it got published in the annual Young Pegasus Contest sponsored by the San Antonio Library.

Here's the poem:

F L O W E R   T A L K

The flower is a long skinny body with flat wide arms

and puffy pink hair.

Its babies are still in little green balls.

Its feet with long white toes are covered in soft cool dirt.

They live in a big box with no roof.

Its visitors are bugs that drink their sweet tasting water.

They all live together in a bunch.

Its ancestors are rocks and scraps of wood.

You never know what is going on in their family.

When their babies grow up

They will have families of their own.

The tears of the clouds are their signal to grow.
